Having started this project in mid-2022, we were very excited to finally see the opening of the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Gro Garden! Designed by erz. studio, the hybrid wellbeing, art and greenspace provides the perfect place for staff visitors to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Learn more about the bird box making workshop we held at Impact Arts recently! It was part of their Creative Pathways project to support the community and environment. A great way to be creative and look after local wildlife using reclaimed pallet wood.

Janet and Jack recently went over to visit the Craft Café in Govan to host a planter box building workshop. Once they knew how to use the tools, they quickly whipped together an incredible 50 boxes from reclaimed timber. Check out the finished planters here, incredible mosaic patterns and all!

As part of the community project Pocket Places, we were asked to design a unique bench to make the daily commutes of parents and children a little brighter and more enjoyable.

In memory of a fellow student, a group of eager students from Hyndland Secondary School joined us for a few weeks to learn how to build our classic Benbecula Bench alongside a handful of planters. Learn more about how they got on.

With our whisky barrel project, RE-CASK, we’ve been able to work our way through approximately 80 oak barrels since the beginning, preventing around 4 tonnes of CO2 from entering our atmosphere.

It's estimated that an incredible 250,000 disused whisky casks are in circulation each year. No longer useful in the whisky making process, the opportunity to think differently about how to maximise the value of these end of life oak whisky barrels was something we couldn’t pass on.

On the 13th March we'll be launching 30 new products as part of our latest project. The products are a result of funding awarded by the Scottish Government and European Social Fund for Designs on Growth, our in-house design project.
