Gro Gardens wellbeing and greenspace official opening at QEUH

Having started this project in mid-2022, we were very excited to finally see the opening of the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Gro Garden! Designed by erz. studio, the hybrid wellbeing, art and greenspace provides the perfect place for staff visitors to relax and enjoy the outdoors. A workshop with Impact Arts making planter boxes

Janet and Jack recently went over to visit the Craft Café in Govan to host a planter box building workshop. Once they knew how to use the tools, they quickly whipped together an incredible 50 boxes from reclaimed timber. Check out the finished planters here, incredible mosaic patterns and all!

RE-CASK: 12 months, 80 barrels and approximately 4 tonnes of CO2!

With our whisky barrel project, RE-CASK, we’ve been able to work our way through approximately 80 oak barrels since the beginning, preventing around 4 tonnes of CO2 from entering our atmosphere.

RE-CASK: the official launch

It's estimated that an incredible 250,000 disused whisky casks are in circulation each year. No longer useful in the whisky making process, the opportunity to think differently about how to maximise the value of these end of life oak whisky barrels was something we couldn’t pass on.
